It's Party Time

I have a high school graduate.  And I don't feel that old.  But her grad party is coming faster than we may like.  So the kids and I have spent the last few weekends weeding, mulching, mowing, trimming and decorating.  Inviting 200 people to a grad party is a great motivator to get some projects done.

There's still a lot to do but the farm hasn't looked this nice in a long time.  Almost makes me want to get a second job and stay here so I can afford the payments.  Almost.

I need to order more mulch - there's lots I haven't gotten mulched yet.  But our local mulch company puts all their mulch on sale after July 1st 50% off.  So Monday I'll order more.

Jessie and I have a 4 day weekend next week from work.  She got a full time job at the same company I work for.  The trade off for that 4 day weeken is we have to work Wednesday, but for 4 days off?  I can do it.

Tyler has been really working hard.  Every day i come home from work and he has something else done.  Whether it's picking up around the barns, weedeating, hauling stuff to burn.

It's taken a few years but my flowerbeds that I have planted are finally filling it.  I still need more flowers but that will come slowly but surely.

It felt so good to decorate outside for Memorial Day.  I haven't done that in a number of years.  I'm starting to find the joy again in what I once loved more than anything.

This weekend is supposed to be hot. 90 degrees plus.  I think we are headed out now to do some work in the barn and then this afternoon I just may paint the kids bathroom inside.  At least it will be cool in the air conditioning.

Have a great weekend!!!!
