I once found a snake wrapped around a bunch of them. They would always peck at my toes! i still want chickens! maybe someday.Philigryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12830448931204543522noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3634359139079818019.post-2428532102528194662008-05-15T10:35:00.000-04:002008-05-15T10:35:00.000-04:00Get listed at my new quilters blog :)http://justus...Get listed at my new quilters blog :)http://justusquilters.blogspot.com/~Niki~https://www.blogger.com/profile/05479427401865206504noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3634359139079818019.post-90245227071284623772008-05-15T09:44:00.000-04:002008-05-15T09:44:00.000-04:00YAY!!! That way you have options if you end up with one or two meanies in the bunch. I've made the mistake of only ording one or two roos before and they end up EVIL. With our last batch, we were able to choose the nicest guy to keep.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3634359139079818019.post-65521274103153506022008-05-15T02:36:00.000-04:002008-05-15T02:36:00.000-04:00Mal won't let me have chickens even though we've g...Mal won't let me have chickens even though we've got the room for them. Make no mistake about that!

Electrified netting might help keep chickens in and critters out (aka coyotes). We just moved 300 of our layers out to pasture. They graduated from our brooder house. We fence the perimeter with electrified netting. I'll let you know how that goes.

You are going to love your chickens!

Lyns5 Chicks and a Farmerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03707903594514467277noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3634359139079818019.post-84876968258166419662008-05-14T17:31:00.000-04:002008-05-14T17:31:00.000-04:00Are you taking votes?? Either she was sweet or now that I"m older, she might have been brain damaged?

Tyler is going to have so much fun with these babies, don't forget to make a separation in the fence so he can "pet" his favorites and the mean ones wont get him.Granny Lynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05541576458508173416noreply@blogger.com
