Privacy screen

Late this spring, we planted Tyler's flowerbed.

Now we have our own privacy screen:) Too bad that is field corn and not sweet corn......

The first day of school went well. Tyler asked his teacher again, Are you sure I cannot come back tomorrow. I might forget everything I learned today if I skip a few days....
And I cooked homemade waffles for breakfast this morning. Wonder how long this cooking breakfast is going to last?
I'm off to the garden after work today to pick any and all ripe tomatoes. We will be home this weekend with no where to go except soccer pictures, so it will be a good weekend to do some canning. I also want to find a 1/2 bushel of beets somewhere and can some of them.
Have a great day
Kris

Ahhh..... Canning. One of the most pleasant sounds it that little "pop" the jars make when they seal. I remember lying in bed after canning all day and counting the last few to seal. Couldn't go to sleep till I heard the last one.

LUCKY YOU!! You have red tomatoes. Because of our cool weather during June, we may not get red tomatoes. ENJOY your quiet weekend. I'm amazed at how much you can get done in a day.

I love canning too. I'll be doing pickled beets this weekend too. Not many, hubby is the only one who eats them. However, I like to do a few so he has a treat throughout the winter months. Hope you can find some. Have a great day and weekend.

The privacy fence is awesome until the starlings find it! So much for peace and quiet then!
