Umm.....

Apparently boredom has led me to attempt to clean up my sewing/computer/catch all room...and since the thought of ironing and folding a few rubbermaid totes of fabric was more than I could handle....

I decided to sort my yarn stash. After gifting a huge gift bag to my Mom and Ashley (my brother's girlfriend), I of course spent an hour sorting through the remaining 2 rubbermaid containers.

The end results? Enough yarn to make ......14 sweaters with about 10 different single skiens of varying yarns. And another good sized rubbermaid tote to donate to Mom and Ashley.
But it's all photographed and in my stash on Ravelry (except for 3 sweaters worth of yarn that are in progress/wound/semi-started) so hopefully I can find sweaters to knit with all this yarn. I guess I have a tendency to buy yarn (mostly on sale) without a specific project in mind.....
Now if the rest of the house would just clean itself I would be all set.......

Oh if only, our houses would clean themselves....when you figure out how to work that out, let me in on the secret. I believe the cold weather has led us to desperate measures....Cleaning and organizing......come on Spring! Blessings

I'm sure you could find a friend *cough, cough* who would love to be the recipient of your fine, fine knitting. ;)

I take donations, too. :P

I do the same thing. If I see yarn I like, I'll buy it even though I have no idea what I'll use it for. And when I make myself stop buying yarn because I'm drowning in it, it never fails that I unconsciously start buying fabric even though there is no project in mind. Then I need to watch a few episodes of Hoarders so that I can see where it will lead if I don't stop shopping. lol.

I am so glad that sewing/quilting is my only habit cause I could see myself in this post if I knit/crocheted. lol. I could see yarn overtaking my already cramped quarters here. lol. How lucky are your donation recipients? That's great that you share. Thanks for sharing your stash too. Take care!

Good for you going through all that yarn! And lucky ladies that received the extras! I've been really trying to keep my yarn stash under control since I already have a fabric stash that wants to take over the house. And I am totally with you on that self cleaning house thing...that's been the order of the day around here, cleaning my non-self-cleaning house :cP Hope you have a great day.
