I think spring is battling with winter right now. It was glorious out last week (60's and low 70's) and then now? It's been 40's with rain. Today looks like it is going to be high 50's and sun finally!
Barlie is doing fantastic. Last night it seemed like the entire neighborhood was over playing outside, and when the kids all went out the door, she laid by the door waiting for Jessie and Tyler for a good while (they would have taken her with them, but 2 of the kids brought their dog back, and I didn't want her getting hurt). They've been keeping her pretty busy so it was good that she had some time to entertain herself!
I just thought she looked so sad laying there all curled up on the floor.
We are working out in the barn every chance we get. Jessie's 4-H steer really needs to come in and we need to start working with him again, and her pigs will be arriving in another 6-7 weeks. So we ordered new gates for all the animal pens and have been busy hanging them and cleaning up the barn.
And I'm thinking about a major overhaul on my flower beds and my garden for the year. I do know I want the garden closer to the house (as it is right now, I have to turn off the electric fence and go into the pasture, also remembering to turn back on the fence when I'm done). As for my flowerbeds, I want some new stuff for this year and I want to fill it up so that hopefully the weeds do not take over:)
And I'm down to just 1 horse now. Who will hopefully go somewhere in the next few weeks.
Hope you all have a sunny day!
Kris

Yes! Remembering to turn the fence back on is very important around here. Now our pony paddock is adjacent to the garden but not surrounding it.
I love your puppy! She is gorgeous! And if she is a good bird dog, all the better! Who doesn't love pheasant? We sure do!
We are anxious to get in the garden, too. Mike was out clearing off last year's perennials yesterday so the bulbs could come up. I think it really is spring!★Linda
My husband has been angling to get a bird dog for a while now, so I'll be paying close attention to your adventures with Barlie to help determine my own fitness to own a hunting dog. ;)
Oh - and large amounts of cute puppy pics would be helpful too. ;)
We are missing that glorious weather of last week, too. Hopefully it will return to us soon!
Hopefully your Spring weather will be returning in a few days. We've had beautiful sunshine for the last few days but the rain is supposed to return by this evening. But, the flowers are blooming and the tulips should be out in time for the annual Tulip Festival.
Our weather is Beautiful !
Mowed the yard today.
You sure are busy.
Happy SPring!

My you have been a busy girl: knitting (you have some beautiful things there. I really like the pink sweater) cleaning the barn, and the long trip to get Barlie. He looks like a great dog. I don't blame you for wanting to move your garden. I would never get to it. If mine was very far away. And I would be forever forgetting to turn on the electric fence. Good luck with all your doing.
Your dog looks so sweet! I am glad that you made that long drive to get him; he looks like he will be a welcome addition to the family. I look forward to seeing what you do with your gardening. I am starting to think about what to plant here, but it just snowed 11.5 inches the other day so I am just thinking at this point.
