The brown and white spotted one was born crippled somehow. Her back legs seem to be double jointed at the hock and hip. At first we thought she would not make it, and were actually in the process of acquiring a dairy calf to orphan onto Mom.
But she pulled through, and now is the fastest calf out there. She's still double jointed, but growing, running and playing.
So we are leaving her alone for the time being. 3 different vets have said she is in no pain, and she just may compensate for being double jointed. It's a shame, because she is easily by far the nicest calf out there.
I'll try and take a video of her tonight to upload.
The cows are getting plump. We are still waiting on 2 of them to have their calves - which should be happening before the 1st of June with any luck.
And Tyler has informed me that I have "no picture on here of him and his calf" so here's a picture of Tyler and Mittens.
Have a great day!

Awwwwww. I love the new banner photo. And Tyler's picture is sweet!
Most of all...I hope you can keep the brown and white calf. She'd be my favorite...just because.
Ana :)
Great pictures! And its always good to hear a positive story about someone/thing born with some challenges to overcome...and to hear they are succeeding! Tell Tyler his pic is my favorite!
Have a great week!
I love this new look! Not that that the manure wasn't nice ;)
I love that new picture , is that your home in the background?
I have to admit the blue skies, sunshine, green grass and cows are an improvement! :-) Mittens is cute, a beautiful shade of brown and Tyler is cute too! ;-)
Tyler looks good with Mittens.
You have such a lovely home. The kind of place I ride by and imagine smelling apple pie cooking or home made biscuits.
Mittens is a nice looking calf. Tyler is very handsome also!
Springtime calves are so cute! All our calves are black - I just love the cinnamon colored ones though.
the two of them look so cute together.
Your pasture is so nice; makes me want to run barefoot through it!
Mittens is the perfect name for a calf!
I love your cow pictures. When my dad was in the service I lived with my aunt and uncle on their farm. The cows were always friendly: we sold milk to the local dairy. We had pigs, too.
I love the banner picture too. However, even more so the picture of Tyler is priceless. Hope you have a wonderful day.
