Vintage Sheet Love

How bout a little vintage sheet love to brighten everyone’s day???

These:

Or these:

Or this, which looks suspiciously like a set of sheets that my sister and I had growing up (the one on the right), which is why I brought them at Goodwill for on Jessie’s bed…….

Since one of her sets of sheets was looking like this:

All of these were picked up at the Goodwill in Ashland, Ohio for the grand total of $19.22 - and one of the employees saw me coming in and said "here comes the sheet lady again." But seriously - can you find such cool looking sheets in the stores nowadays?

Sad that I didn't even make it through half of the rack of sheets before I had my arms full (and I have a policy with myself.....when my arms are full - I stop). But I'll go back here the first of April for some more....

I've seen so many "vintage sheet" posts lately where I recognize the sheets as ones that I had as a little girl...guess I'm vintage! And vintage is better than being antique!!! Your new blog header photo is great!

Kris...is the Goodwill still behind the Rite Aid? It has been years since I have been in there but I remember my mom buying me clothes and different items for our house in there and I would get so embarassed....now I am a thrift store shopper and LOVE to find bargins...my kids aren't old enough yet to get embarassed...they think it's great when mom comes home with a bunch of stuff for everyone. Thanks for bringing back these memories. Reading your blog gives me a little piece of home here in GA.

Very cool!! I think I'll hit the Goodwill in Ashland, KY to see what I can find! :^)

Looks like you had fun shopping for sheets. I never pay attention to the sheets at our thrift store. I'll have to start looking more. Have a great day!!

I have seen a lot of nice quilts made from vintage sheets lately on blogs; but I still have not gotten around to making one. So far I have only used sheets for the back of a quilt when I needed one solid piece of fabric. However, I like buying used sheets to use on our beds since they are “broken in” and very soft making for a comfortable nights sleep.

Cool deals. Love those thrift stores.

That is so funny! I have the exact rule about the goodwill shopping. If my arms are full, I have to stop. I won't take the cart on purpose.
I love those vintage sheets.

I'll have you know there are NO sheets like that at my Goodwill! Nor at the other thrift stores I've visited!
Jealous in Kansas! :-)

So unfair! Our shops NEVER have cool vintage sheets! Way to go on your find! Can't wait to see what you make out of them!

As soon as we move I am headed to Goodwill for sheets and make a few quilts from them.

Right now we are in a holding pattern.

I love your Vintage Sheet Quilts! I have been saving up old sheets just for one but I don't have a big enough selection to use yet!
