My Herb Garden

Is coming along rather nicely I should say. I finally got it mulched last Sunday – it does not have enough mulch to suit me but….it is a start. I need some great big rocks to put in here to liven things up, as well as a flag and a couple other decorations.

Now I need to find a good dehydrator to preserve this bounty. Cooking with homegrown herbs is so much better than the stuff you pay 2 arms and a leg for from the store.

You are so right, Kris! Cooking with herbs fresh from your garden is such a good feeling and tastes so wonderfully incredible.

Things are looking good your way to a productive and bountiful summer growing season!

I have never cooked with fresh herbs. Never wanted to pay that much for them at the grocery.

I do have plans for a herb garden in NC. When we move that is.

It's looking really good. Can't wait to hear how it does throughout the summer. I love fresh herbs too.

How right you are . . . . there's just nothing like cooking with fresh herbs.

Yum....I am so envious of this and CAN NOT wait to see what kind of bounty you get -- and then I can't wait to hear just how you dehydrate all of these herbs.

You should make a solar dehydrator. It's easy and works very well...

We usually dry ours in the basement...just hang them up and they work well but we have a solar dehydrator too...
