1st calf of the season

is a heifer. And a BIG heifer too.

She'll be brown and white, just like her Momma.

4 more to go.

How wonderful. As we were driving yesterday we saw a few calves but more lambs. I just love how new life is all around us this time of year.

Wow! Its a real farm, not one of those fake-wanna-be-yuppie-farms! Wow!

I stopped by because of the chicken picture in your profile. My wife and I are country transplants in the city. We had two chickens in our backyard (much to the dismay of our neighbors!) until a fox got them. Glad I ventured to your blog. The entries and pictures remind me of the 100 acres I grew up on.
