Lost and Found Again

I lost my MOJO.....for doing anything for the last few days. Chores were a chore, all I got done on Sunday (in the house) was 11 loads of laundry....but they still aren't folded. We are living out of laundry baskets....

But today...I found it... I think.

I got home from work and tied up all on my own.....all 5 calves. And Oreo (the black calf standing behind the red calf in the picture below) had lost his halter so I managed to put it on all by myself (which took considerable effort as he kept backing away from me). This is only the second time the heifers (pictured above) have been tied up since....January.....

I roasted a chicken for dinner from my local meat butcher store (well...to be honest....I cheated....the chicken was precooked, but I had to heat it up, cut it and serve it) which the kids LOVED. I really hope Todd isn't hungry for chicken when he gets home, as there ain't much left.

And I started on this while the kids did their homework and read:

Which hopefully will turn into a table topper for Easter when I get 2 more squares done....which will be tonight if I can keep things rolling along.

See ya,

Kris

You mean, there are people who don't live out of their laundry baskets!? I'm good at washing, drying and folding but then they stay in the baskets. It's generally V's job to sort and put away the kid's clothes and he rarely follows through on that.
The table topper should be lovely. I like those colors.

I have two loads still sitting in the laundry basket from the weekend. It probably won't be until Saturday till they get done.
I am liking the table topper a lot. I am in search for one as a promised gift for several months, so I will be looking for ideas.
I am off to read about 60 pages that I still need to write a paper about tonight, I am paying for my sewing craziness this past weekend. :)

Those are calves? They're HUGE! Dear god thinking about birthing one of those, yikes!

Beautiful block. I love it. You know I think I always need to make a quilt, but instead I should be starting with something smaller. Are you familiar with the Silver Thimble table toppers? I've always wanted to make one of those. I have the link if you're interested.

I'm sitting here, tired and doing nothing when I have so much to do, so if you have mojo to share, I'll take some!

You got done on your day with no mojo than I usually get done on a productive day!

How can you say only 11 loads of laundry. WOW! Your block is darling. It will make a wonderful table runner.

Oh how I dread days where it is hard to accomplish anything; it leaves you feeling behind on everything.

Tying up quilts and tying up calves! Wahoo! If it weren't for the laundry...it just might look like the perfect life to me! Laundry and I don't get along very well. Cute easter topper!

Wahoo! Congrats to you on your MOJO. Of course, I'm finding it hard to believe that you really lost it given all you do. But, I think I know what you mean...it's the feeling of accomplishment and what we know inside are the things we want and should do...that can sometimes go missing. Rock it out, one day at a time, Kris!
