Why oh why

Do I let certain rooms of my house get overrun with clutter?

I had today off work - AWESOME. A day to play with the kids, sew, hang out.....

Oh No. I had to start cleaning out rooms.

Tyler's room looked like a bomb had gone off in it (and still does, really):

Then I got to the computer/sewing room. Pretty bad when I cannot get inside the door:

But....I cleaned out my roll top desk and moved it out into the family room. I'm thinking I can store IMPORTANT mail in here (like bills and such) and then we can pay them on a regular basis. No more hunting and searching for that elusive paper that got laid on the table 2 weeks ago. Do I need this roll top desk? Probably not....but.....Todd got it for me for a Christmas present the first Christmas we lived in this house....so I cannot bear to part with it.

Pretty bad when I have around the desk cleaned up, and I have 2 bags of trash to show for my efforts.

I'm working tomorrow til noon, so hopefully I can squeeze in some blog reading after work. I miss catching up with everyone terribly bad, but....duty is calling.

Hope everyone has a great evening!
Kris

Save some energy and come clean my house! My boys rooms look worse than that!! I threatened to open the window and throw it all out! :) They only want to pick up enough to make a path to the bed! :(

Oh, your house sounds (looks)like mine, but I found ways to avoid the cleaning part. LOL

Housework never seems to end; it reminds me of the saying "a man works from sun to sun but a woman’s work is never done”.

I admit to going a little bonkers when I let things accumulate in the house, but I like nothing better then getting in some space and throwing things away. It's like a fresh start in an ordinary day! :)

Enjoy your day!

It is amazing how it piles up if we aren't there. Just roll up your sleeves and get ur done! Then you can read blogs or sew. Sounds easier than it is. That is for sure.

Were you visiting my house? Don't beat yourself up. Sooner or later it gets done and if it doesn't that's okay too. Hugs..

Oh I'm so messy nowadays. I never used to be but no matter how much I decide to tidy up I ge't sidetracked. I suppose a psychologist would say I don't really want to do it. Maybe
I don't.

Our house seems to be in a constant state of "bombed out". We haul loads of trash out constantly but i think it must surely multiply!

clutter and mess ARE my life..and I hate it!! School holidays arrive this easter and althought I am behind I intend to not quilt or craft but just keep on topof things. When I need inspoiration I normally find some good housewife blogs when the blogger is right into organisation cleanliness and they usually have at least seven kids and homeschool and bake from scratch..that normally gets me into gear!!

I am right there with you on the accumulating stuff! Especially not being able to get into my "office" -- better known as the craft/sewing/school/computer/store everything when someone comes to the front door room. I hope you had some fun on your time off too!

it could be worse you know, you could be living in our house, with boxes everywhere!!!

You're right when they say there is always tomorrow.

My house usually looks like a bomb went off too! It's so hard to keep it neat with two wild boys.
