First Major Garden Haul

This afternoon, I started out for the garden like this:




And came back with this:




The kids have already ate 2-3 tomatoes each. Off to make tomato sauce (and dry some more herbs:))! Guess my baskets from the Amish neighbor have finally come in handy.

Herbs - 2 types basil, cilantro, mint
Roma tomatoes, green peppers & sweet banana peppers

When I make tomato "sauce" I guess it's really just pureed tomatoes + a little citric acid. That way I can make it into whatever I want later on - spaghetti sauce or pizza sauce.

I'm quite envious of your haul! Our garden is a bust this year - we just didn't keep up with it.
