Where to Start

Between end of school year activities, gardening, and farm related activities, it seems like there are never enough hours in the day.

Thursday I gave the flower pot to Jessie's 2nd grade teacher - and she loved it. The kids were so proud of having made it, and of keeping it a secret from her.

Then I heard the frost warnings for Thursday night, so it was out to cover every single plant in the garden - for the frost that didn't hit the garden. But all my plants were safe - too bad the weeds next to the garden didn't get dinged.

Then Saturday it was clean my house and go to a new water garden supply center only 30 minutes from home. We also picked up our rent-an-Angus bull from a neighbor, and separated all the cows into their breeding groups. 1st calf heifers and an Angus bull into 1 pasture, and the rest of the cows and our Main bull into another pasture. I'll take pictures tomorrow - I keep forgetting the camera.

And today, it was work on weeding my flower beds, get more mulch, and Jessie had her brownie girl scouts ceremony. Then we worked on the chicken coop and run (pictures to come).

I'm tired - talk to everyone tomorrow.

Kris
