I made this one (which was supposed to be a Christmas present for my Mom) all out of vintage sheets. Even the back is a vintage sheet:
It's rather large - 60" x 90". I'm thinking when I get it washed and dried, I really need to try it on Jessie's bed - with an extra row to the width, it might make a great spring/summer quilt for a little girl's bed. And I have enough of these squares cut out to do at least 2 more quilts - an old sheet goes a long way.

What a great idea to make a swap with your mother. Congrat on your finish.
I had better get knitting - don't want to have the mitts not done.
I love it. Congrats on getting it finished.
It is lovely! I have a bunch of sheet scraps, too. I may have to do a sheet quilt soon.:)
The quilt turned out beautiful. I bet you always feel so good when you complete a project like that. It is such a great accomplishment.
So, I have a question. What does WISP mean? It probably is very simple but I have no idea.
Have a good day.
Wonderful, it always feels good to complete a project.
I think a sheet quilt would look perfect for a little girls bed.
kris, it's just gorgeous! all the colours go together so nicely. i've always wanted to make a vintage sheet quilt, but have never been able to find any sheets in decent condition. i'll keep looking though.

That is my favorite quilt yet! I have a bunch of old star wars, super hero and et sheets that are bound to be vintage...I wonder if it would be the same effect?
