Vintage Sheet Quilt

It's done.

I made this one (which was supposed to be a Christmas present for my Mom) all out of vintage sheets. Even the back is a vintage sheet:

It's rather large - 60" x 90". I'm thinking when I get it washed and dried, I really need to try it on Jessie's bed - with an extra row to the width, it might make a great spring/summer quilt for a little girl's bed. And I have enough of these squares cut out to do at least 2 more quilts - an old sheet goes a long way.

At least I have 1 WISP finish for the month of January so far! And my Mom will get another quilt, and I'll get a pair of fingerless mitts she is knitting for me.

I had better get knitting - don't want to have the mitts not done.

The quilt turned out beautiful. I bet you always feel so good when you complete a project like that. It is such a great accomplishment.
So, I have a question. What does WISP mean? It probably is very simple but I have no idea.
Have a good day.

Wonderful, it always feels good to complete a project.

I think a sheet quilt would look perfect for a little girls bed.

kris, it's just gorgeous! all the colours go together so nicely. i've always wanted to make a vintage sheet quilt, but have never been able to find any sheets in decent condition. i'll keep looking though.

Uh, I like that... I have another vintage sheet project in mind, well probably more because "vintage sheet go a long way".
I love to work with them. Quilts end up being so soft. Great quilt!
